M. Asphodel: It's Moreaux.  If anyone is picking up this signal, my group consisting of 106 individuals is in need of a better refuge than the one we are currently in.  The construct we are occupying is very old, most likely built by our ancestors.  Two of my foragers found more weapons caches and from the looks of it, they seem to operate.  Alas, they're worthless until we find the specific ammunition for the model.  These preceding weaponry are found to be much more dangerous than the schematics of the cross bows and saw launchers my group has developed in the past against the Tainted, but anything helps.

M. Asphodel: I look around this room and it seems like important people once sat around this large, old table.  There are fancy painting frames still hanging on the walls, the paintings have all cracked away to dust.  Although I've heard stories of our group finding individuals underground in the past, I am wondering if my group is the last of the human race.  I have learned many languages from the libraries I've been stationed at when I was with my parents.  I was only seven when I finished over 50 novels.  My father insisted I read on everything, from history to survival tactics.  The strange thing is, in all these libraries, history seems to have stopped near the 21st century.  There is nothing about how our situation came to be, let alone where the Tainted came from or what exactly they are.  All I know is that the earth that is described in textbooks is no longer habitable.  Since the start, and no one knows how long it has been, the group has stuck to underground channels.

M. Asphodel: It feels like I'm talking to a wall.  If you are a survivor, we will help you and get to you, no matter what.  I must end this signal soon. One in my group, Francois, is suddenly showing irregular symptoms.  What I fear is that he is infected, but we have to make sure before we do anything.  Francois has been with us for a long time.  Our group is in constant motion to avoid being found, but as long as I find a working terminal for this ancient system, I can continue to send these distress calls.  We seek salvation, but if we are salvation to you, we will nonetheless strengthen in number.
